Mamadou Balla Traore is a researcher-lecturer at the Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis University (Senegal). His present work focuses on the socio-anthropology of development and social change. He is an editor of “Cahiers” of the Interdisciplinary Research Group for Support to Regional Planning and Local Development (GIRARDEL) and chief editor of the magazine “Afrique, Sociétés, Recherche” (Africa, societies, Research, AFRISOR).
